Safety Protocols

CLINIC POLICIES

01

First-Time Appointment

During your initial visit, a comprehensive medical history will be collected to assist in developing an appropriate healthcare plan tailored to your needs. Please ensure you bring two pieces of identification, one of which must include a photo ID (Health Card, Driver’s License, PR Card, or Passport).

02

Scheduled Appointments

Each family member must have a separate scheduled appointment in order to be seen. Please inform the Medical Office Assistant (MOA) of the nature of the concern so sufficient time can be allocated for your visit.

03

Update Your Personal Information

Kindly notify our clinical staff of any updates to your personal details, particularly changes to your phone number, address, or emergency contact information.

04

Wait Times

Our physicians make every effort to remain on schedule while providing attentive and thorough care to each patient. In the event that your physician is running behind, please be assured that your appointment time will not be compromised.

05

Uninsured Services

Certain services are not covered by Alberta Health Care and will incur an associated fee. Examples of uninsured services include third-party forms, sick/absence or fitness-for-work notes, copies of medical records, Driver’s Medical Examinations, disabled parking authorization forms, and disability-related documentation.

06

Walk-In Appointments

Please note that this clinic does not prescribe or refill opioids or sedatives for walk-in patients.

07

No-Show / Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact the office as soon as possible. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. The clinic opens at 9:00 AM, with a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Timely cancellations allow another patient the opportunity to be seen.

08

Lateness

Patients are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. If you anticipate being late, please notify the clinic by phone as soon as possible.

09

Test Results

Please be advised that Medical Office Assistants are not authorized to discuss or disclose test results. Test results may only be reviewed with your family physician.
